Nick is finally a doctor!! I remember my parents dropping us off in St. Louis four years ago thinking, we are never going to get out of here! It was a total culture shock! We had no friends, family, or any idea of what we had just gotten ourselves into. The alternative however, was Nick being deployed in the army. We were so blessed that Nick got a call two days before the white coat ceremony was to take place, to accept a spot at SLU med school. But looking back, it is amazing how fast those four years actually went. We were able to make wonderful friends that turned into family! Because for the last four years St. Louis has been our home, it is a weird feeling to think that we might never go back. It was a great chapter in our lives that we are excited to close and begin another in D.C! Thanks to all of our friends and family that supported, encouraged and provided for us through out the last four years! Even though it's cliche, we really couldn't have done it without you!!!
Some of Nick's buddies that all made the journey together.
Us wives...we're half doctors!
My parents and us.
Our little friend Harper explaining what's going on to the little boys!
Our wonderful friends the Van Eps. So many memories with them!
Proud moms!
Dr. Kuntz and his family!
Nick's grandpa giving him the oath of office.

Wow! Finally a Dr.!!! Congrats Nick! I know you are going to be a fabulous doctor! St. Louis was so fun with you guys! Good luck as you turn to the next chapter! Some day we will have to meet up with Bryce and Natalie in a wonderful exotic place for vacation!!!
ReplyDeleteKim, I loved this post. I had forgotten the timing of when Nick found out about SLU. It is another reminder to me that God has a plan, and what an awesome one it was because it brought you guys to us! We will miss you so much here, but I'm excited about the possibility of seeing you this Fall. I soooo hope I'm able to go to DC this September for work! It would be fun to visit you in all you future cities. :)
ReplyDeleteWe're so proud of you guys!!
